Warm and Cozy Spring House

It rained yesterday, and I walked outside late in the evening to check the mailbox. The rain stopped for a moment, but the giant oak tree in the front yard was still precipitating. As I walked back to the house, I noticed how blue and orange and cozy everything looked in the twilight. The living room blinds were still open, showing our twinkle lights through the window, barely illuminating the flowering herb bed growing just out front.

These past several weeks of staying at home have felt like what I imagine it was like living in a more primitive, simple time. And it has given my vision, my perspective, my soul a good scrubbing. I see things differently. I'm doing things differently. I am... differently.
